This Spring, Mrs. Buell's class of kindergarten and first- graders at Occohannock Elementary School built and raced rubber-band powered cars. Designed by Bill Young of Willis Wharf, the pieces for the cars were cut out on a ShopBot computer-controlled router system. Not only did the kids enjoy building and racing their cars, but they also fulfilled kindergarten and first grade Standards of Learning requirements.
