    Bill Palumbo has come up with this system for clamping odd-sized pieces for cutting. He uses a double layer of MDF as a tabletop, with flat bar-clamps on top of the MDF to hold material of any size, anywhere on the table. He plans to add a plywood vacuum top over the MDF, and to use the clamps on top of that to hold small or irregular things like sign blanks.
