The 52 families that were building boats gathered at 10am Friday morning in the field outside the Maritime Museum for a few words of inspiration and encouragement before breaking up into two groups. The Weekend Dinghy builders got a quick overview of the assembly process from their leader Rob Dewelley, and started to work.



By noon most of the boats were cable-tied together, and by the end of the day all had their seams filleted and fiberglassed, and many had their seats installed.
